ABOUT ME

My name is Valerie Valencia. I am a published author out of Cleveland, Ohio. I have been writing for over 10 years, but I have waited until now to begin publishing my works.

It has been a long journey to go from a young girl growing up in Portland, OR, to having a career publishing novels at the ripe old age of 29. But I have found that like myself, my writing is growing and maturing with me. I used to write silly stories on the little yellow post it notes, and stick them all over my wall in my room. Then I began writing longer stories in my diary. They typically were about events in my life, albeit pretty mundane ones.

After a while I began to write stories that came from my dreams, or sparks of inspiration from seeing something amazing on TV. I was and still am an avid fan of anime. Some of my favorite shows growing up were Sailor Moon, Dragonball z, Naruto, and Bleach. Later I learned a great deal about romance through anime like Clannad, or funny as it sounds The Familar of Zero. That's when I began to explore the possibilities of creating worlds that couldn't exist except through forms like anime, manga, or light novels.

Now I am a published author, with my first work now live on Amazon. Kaligion is not only my first published work, but the culmination of over a decade of writing, dreaming, and wishing I could be part of that world. Now it is a reality and I can't describe the overwhelming feeling of accomplishment, fulfillment, and absolute awe I have. It's purely amazing to see this day come to pass, and I know I will never forget it.
